SERVICE REQUEST

Role/Job:

  • This operator will be responsible for the performance of the security command, control and communication function in the cluster.
  • Maintaining regular contact with field security personnel in the cluster through voice communication (radio telephone and other), electronic monitoring (tracking of mobile assets via IVMS/ASTRATA on MATS dashboard or TETRA on AVL dashboard) or/and technical surveillance (CCTV, IDS and use of UAVs – in view).
  • Providing situational awareness and real time threat picture that enables informed decisions on security incidents/Emergencies to be made and appropriate response initiated to support the cluster..
  • Acting as the first point of call for all incident and emergency related issues for field security personnel in the cluster to which he is assigned – ensuring they are able to communicate through the 24/7 emergency phone service or other alternatives prior to activation of the Emergency Response Protocol in the event of Fire, Medical, Security and other Incidents and emergencies..
  • Ensuring appropriate dissemination of facts to enable SOC respond to threat that materializes by changing the SOL and putting in place appropriate security control measures to ensure that business is operated at ALARP..
  • Contributing to SOCs goal of improving Security Risk Management (SRM) by providing a threat lead management system that evaluates, approves, monitors and tracks all inter/Intra field movements within the operational footprint.
  • Contributing to SOCs alignment with the HSSE Journey Management Plan (J MP strategy and improve the value proposition by means of cost and resource efficiencies and to improve security delivery with smarter use of technology..
  • Academics:

    At least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution in relevant fields will be an advantage.

    25-40 Years

    Work Experience:

  • Ideally, prior Security Operation Centre experience
  • Experience in working as a DSS, RSS, PSS or ASA depending on cluster desk designated.
  • Experience in Security Risk assessment.
  • General security knowledge.
  • Local knowledge of the cluster – geographical, terrain, facilities/locations, predominant threats etc
  • Skills/Competences:

  • Technical security – operating technical security equipment and materials.
  • Intelligence appreciation – gathering, analysis and dissemination.
  • Communication skills.
  • Risk management skills.
  • Skilled at report writing.
  • No Criminal records.
  • Professional Certification:

    Professional industrial security certification (PSP and/or CPP from ASIS or equivalent body) will be an added advantage.


    Technical Skills (Added Advantage):

  • Knowledge of the security situation in the Niger Delta and Gulf of Guinea.
  • Ability to work across teams and collaborate with others to deliver result.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills and experience in leading.
  • Ability to manage and drive cost reduction: drive creativity and innovation.
  • Good computing skills and experience with managing data, creating and managing simple database and general use of spreadsheet for activity planning.
  • Experience with SharePoint and use of Excel may be an advantage.

  • Role/Job:

  • The PSS are Security site representative in all Pipelines locations and repairs sites.
  • Monitor and provide assurance on the availability of Security Logistics equipment (houseboats, Porta-Cabins, Marine Patrol Vessels (MPVs) vehicles etc).
  • Coordinate Third Party Interference (TPI) prevention on the Pipelines through aversions, prevention of illegal connections (IC), prevention and removal of illegal lines inside and outside the right of way (ROW), prevention and destruction of illegal refineries (IR).
  • Coordinate security of intra-field escorts and repairs sites.
  • Carry out regular patrol activities on the Pipelines within area of responsibility.
  • Liaise with Asset Security Advisers and report any findings relating to security issues.
  • Send daily report.
  • Collect, Collate, and disseminate information/intelligence to aid smooth planning by Asset Security Adviser.
  • Take records of other security staff in and around the work site facility and waterways.
  • Assist the Security Adviser to manage the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) issues related to the delivery of security services in the work site facilities.
  • Assist in all Emergency response.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance in implementation of approved security plans at facilities/worksite.
  • Conduct VPSHR Briefing on all GSA posted to the locations, monitor compliance and report non-compliance.
  • Academics:

    1st Degree in any discipline. Previous military or paramilitary background is an added advantage.

    25-40 Years

    Work Experience:

    Currently in the role or at least 5 years’ working experience in Security Administration and Support roles in the Oil & Gas Sector across Land and Swamp locations in the Niger Delta region.

    Possession of Tropical Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency (T-BOSIET), Offshore Safety Permit (OSP) and Professional industrial security certification/membership of ASIS or equivalent body is an added advantage.
