Role/Job:

  • Security Information Analyst is responsible for collecting and collating all available security related information to identify trends and threats that may impact company assets/operations and analysing same for the provision of timely intelligence in support of company operations.
  • Research and evaluate information derived from multiple sources, select essential elements, and correlate new information with existing ones.
  • Compile information, analyse findings, make interpretations, and write detail reports.
  • Maintain in-depth and current knowledge of the political and security environment in the Niger Delta and other company operational areas.
  • Draft Daily, Weekly and Monthly Intelligence Reports; prepare graphs, charts, tables, and other visualisation vehicles to present data.
  • Conduct background research on individuals and groups as well as the drivers of security-related events.
  • Provide daily and weekly threat updates to include key events, threat trends, change in threat and threat assessment;
  • Timely collection, collation, analysis and verification of information/data and report.
  • Prompt delivery of drafts of Daily, Weekly and Monthly Intelligence Reports.
  • Delivery of daily and weekly threat assessment for decision makers to avert threat or reduce exposure.
  • Academics:

    Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in any field.

    Age:

    29-40 Years

    Work Experience:

    Currently in the role or at least 5 years’ experience in Intelligence roles within military or paramilitary agencies.

    Skills/Competences:

  • Ability to manage and systematically exploit information sources.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and computer literacy.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of types of deferment activity and modus operandi associated with organized crimes, militancy, and community agitation/action groups.
  • Background in government intelligence, police, or military services/agencies.
  • Sound knowledge of political and security situation in the Niger Delta and offshore environment
  • Ability to organize and present accurate information in a logical sequence using textual vehicles, graphs, charts, tables, and other illustrative devices
  • Experience of Risk Assessment and Risk Management best practices would be advantageous.
  • No criminal records.
  • Professional Certification:

    Professional industrial security certification/membership of ASIS or equivalent body is an added advantage.

    Technical Skills (Added Advantage):

    Knowledge of the security situation in the Niger Delta and Gulf of Guinea
    Ability to work across teams and collaborate with others to deliver result
